Amy Hart reveals trolls dubbed her the ‘fat one’ on Love Island as she shares throwback bikini snaps and admits she ‘misses being that skinny’

Amy Hart revealed she was dubbed the ‘fat one’ on Love Island when she shared a throwback photo taken after her first audition for the show.

The TV personality, 31, shared a stunning photo from 2019 to her Instagram stories on Wednesday, admitting that while she accepts being a parent and a mother, she ‘misses being thin’.

Amy wrote: ‘I accept being older and having a baby but I miss being so skinny. The worst thing is that people said I was fat when I was on the show.’

She looked stunning in an electric blue bikini in the shot, but admitted she got up at 4am to do her hair and make-up to make her ‘Instagram look interesting’ for the Love Island cast bosses.

She said: ‘Five years ago I had just had my first Love Island audition and was like I needed to make my Instagram interesting.’

She continued: ‘Woke up at 4am in Barbados to do hair and make-up. These photos were on my FB memories, hence the quality.’

Her backlash post comes just days after she said she found pregnancy ‘liberating’ as it was the first time she had had a break from counting calories since she was just 10 years old.

Amy loved eating for two while carrying her now nine-month-old son, Stanley, but is now on a mission to lose weight ahead of her four-day wedding in September.

She is preparing to marry her fiance Sam Ranson and in an exclusive chat with MailOnline she revealed that they also want to welcome another child in 2024.

Amy, who has partnered with Femme Health, said she wanted to slim down for her wedding after going from a size 8 in Love Island to a size 16 post-pregnancy.

Speaking to MailOnline about her pregnancy, Amy said: ‘I loved it. I’ve been counting calories since I was about 10.’

She continued: ‘So having nine months of being able to eat what I want, when I want, was really liberating.

‘I’ve always been very conscious of my stomach, so I would wear tight dresses during pregnancy. I literally wore Oh Polly spandex dresses exclusively for nine months, so, yeah, I just had the best time.’

While Amy may have felt liberated during her pregnancy, the influencer said she now plans to lose weight for her music-themed wedding.

For the big day, the happy couple will get married in Spain and have a big bonanza as she plans to have her first dance to a song featured in a musical.

She has already chosen her dress and is currently planning the big day with her wedding planner.

But along with the manic planning that comes with a wedding, Amy revealed that she wants to look her absolute best for the special day and is therefore on a mission to slim down.

She said: ‘Obviously I’m devastated for the wedding, but also for Stanley. I’m trying to lose weight and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying that. I think there’s a lot of pressure to say, “Oh, I’m not trying to go.” I just want to be healthy.”

‘I want to look my best on my wedding day and for every other person who is different and I know how I would feel good and right now it’s not that.

‘And I’m only here because I’ve eaten what I wanted for the past year. And I did it. So I have to get out of it.’

Amy continued: ‘There’s nothing wrong with being a size 16. If I could eat fast food every day of my life, I would, but I need to be healthy for my baby. I want to be there for him as long as I can.

‘It was also very easy to get from a 10 to a 16. So I can imagine that getting from a 16 to an 18 and an 18 to a 20 is even easier. So I have to do something about it before I get so unhealthy that I’m not good for my boy.’
