Anguished Jameela Jamil shares ‘excruciating regret’ over suicide of friend married to Killers of the Flower Moon producer… as she shares photo of victim with her daughter
A distraught Jameela Jamil has expressed her ‘exhausting regret’ for not being able to speak to her friend Isabelle Thomas one last time before her tragic suicide at the age of 39.
Thomas jumped to her death from the Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles on Monday night. Her husband of five years, Bradley Thomas, is a producer currently promoting his Oscar-nominated film Killers of the Flower Moon.
Jamil, 37, shared her devastation on Instagram, revealing that she was due to see Thomas a few weeks before – but ended up being unable to due to work commitments.
She also shared a photo of Isabelle with one of her daughters on her Instagram Stories. “Love you forever,” she captioned the image.
In her post expressing her regret, she reminded followers to ‘put loved ones first’ so they can avoid the heartache she is feeling now.

“I was supposed to see her a few weeks ago and couldn’t because I was busy with stupid f**king work,” she posted.
‘I missed the chance to tell her I love her. And to hold her one last time.
‘This is a reminder to put loved ones first so you will never have the excruciating regrets I have now. F**k work. Fuck the nonsense. Call your loved ones.’
She captioned the post: ‘I lost a friend very suddenly this week. Don’t wait until later. Don’t assume you can just grow old together. Don’t assume the world is fair or reasonable. Don’t take anyone or anything you love for granted for a moment.
“My heart is completely and utterly broken and I don’t think I’ll ever recover.”
Jameela and her musician boyfriend James Blake were friends with Isabelle and the couple were photographed at the Thomases wedding in October 2018 in Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica.
Isabelle (39) was found at the pool area of the Hotel Angeleno on Monday evening.
Her husband of five years, Bradley Thomas, is currently in the middle of promoting his Oscar-nominated film Killers of the Flower Moon. The couple have twin daughters named Poppy and Grace, with Thomas also a stepmother to Thomas’ older children Lucy and Charlie.
The manner of death was listed as suicide by the LA County Coroner’s Office, citing multiple traumatic injuries. The LAPD told DailyMail.com that police responded to the scene regarding a deceased woman found in the pool area.
Thomas, daughter of Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow and his ex-wife Penelope, enjoyed a privileged childhood which saw her attend the private King Edward’s School and Prior Park College in Bath.
She went on to attend the University of Oxford – the British equivalent of Harvard – and graduated with a degree in biological sciences. A varied career followed, which included Thomas addressing the UN and the World Bank, as well as being appointed by former British Prime Minister David Cameron to serve as a technology advisor.
Thomas also loved to party, moonlighting as a DJ, with photos uploaded to an old Facebook profile showing her enjoying nights out at glitzy London events.
She moved to California and continued her work as a consultant and producer, appointed a member of the UCLA Center of Storytellers & Scholars Advisory Board.
A DJ whose gigs include Ibiza Rocks, The Grand Prix and the official after party for the Grammy Awards, she was a familiar face on the transatlantic social scene. Thomas was also photographed with Amy Winehouse at a charity event in 2010 in Camden, London, where the tragic singer lived.

The Hotel Angeleno declined to comment when reached by DailyMail.com by phone Thursday.
Born in the Cotswolds as Isabelle Lawrence, her father was Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow – a senior physicist at Cheltenham General Hospital, who then became head of the radiotherapy unit at Bristol Oncology Centre.
Sir Henry and her mother, Penelope Nunan, divorced in 1993 after 14 years of marriage.
She was raised with a brother five years older, Christopher Cosmo Lawrence.
Izzy went to King Edward’s School in Bath and then read biological sciences at Oxford University, studying at Brasenose College, majoring in neuroscience and animal behaviour.
After graduating, she was appointed by David Cameron as a member of the Prime Minister’s Tech City Advisory Council in 2013.
She created a series of music nights called Apocalypstick and started DJing live performances including Ibiza Rocks, The Grand Prix, the official after party for the Grammy Awards and Vogue’s Fashion Nights Out.
In one video, she is on a September 2013 panel commenting on designer Jil Sander’s latest collection, introducing herself as “a broadcaster, consultant and creator working across science and art and style.”

By April 2014, she was featured in The Los Angeles Timesin an article about young tech entrepreneurs and influencers using a private jet company to fly to Coachella.
She has been described as a ‘DJ-slash-model-slash-BBC-TV-presenter-slash-Oxford-grad’, who has just renewed her visa to stay in the United States.
She and James Blake – who would start dating Jamil the following year – were both there to DJ, with Izzy, as she was known, DJing for a Lacoste event.
The multi-hyphenate went on to serve as a consultant for the World Bank and speak to audiences at the United Nations’ climate change group, the Conference of the Parties.
She also became a member of the UCLA Center of Storytellers & Scholars Advisory Board.
It is not known how she met Bradley Thomas, but the couple married in 2018 and have two young children.
They were photographed together at the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills as recently as January 13.
The tragic news comes while Bradley’s movie is up for Best Picture at the Oscars.
Thomas was also one of the producers behind other hit films including There’s Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber.
