The assault took place on 29 June 2022 at Gerocarni’s apartment in Bondi Junction.

Gerocarni slapped Ms Bennett on the side of her face after an argument about her passport for an upcoming holiday, the court heard.

During the scuffle, Gerocarni also grabbed his former partner’s wrist, causing her to drop her phone which was damaged when it landed.

The estate agent remains on bail and will appear in court again next week.

An apprehended domestic violence order will also remain in place.

Ms Bennett, who works as a model and nurse, was in a relationship with Gerocarni for three-and-a-half years before it ended in June last year.

She lived with him at his unit in Bondi Junction and in another flat in the same neighbourhood.

Gerocarni has worked for an independent contractor from Ray White since 2016.

His now-deleted Instagram account was once filled with photos of sales of multimillion-dollar homes in Sydney’s affluent east.
