Colin Farrell continues to look unrecognisable in a tuxedo and long coat as he films The Batman spin-off The Penguin in New York City
Colin Farrell continued to look unrecognizable as he was pictured in a tuxedo while filming the Batman spin-off titled The Penguin in New York on Wednesday.
The Irish actor, 47, wore a very realistic bald wig as he played the show’s disfigured villain.
Colin wore a white shirt and black bow tie under a long double-breasted coat and carried a co-ordinating hat.
The star looked serious as he filmed before stopping for a break to chat with crew members and for a hot drink.
Colin looked menacing as he filmed fully embodying the character of Penguin, real name Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobblepot.

Colin was spotted climbing over debris in the street earlier this month while a car was on fire in the background as he filmed the dramatic film.
The upcoming series is a spin-off of the 2022 film The Batman which starred Robert Pattison as the titular hero.
Colin’s Penguin originated in this film and is the former chief lieutenant of crime boss Carmine Falcon (John Taturro).
The Batman is an origin story so Penguin is not yet the crime lord he is portrayed to be in the comics, likewise Batman is not yet an experienced crime fighter.
Matt Reeves, the film’s director, compared the character of Penguin to Fredo Corleone (John Cazale) from The Godfather (1972), because of ‘the insignificance he lives in, in a family full of very strong, very bright, very capable, very violent men’.
As well as Colin, the series stars How I Met Your Mother’s Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Carmine, Penguin’s boss.
The Penguin was first announced in 2021 and takes place a week after the events of The Batman. It is expected to air in late 2024.
Colin has another series to air in 2024, the sci-fi series Sugar, which is said to be “a genre-bending contemporary take on the private detective story set in Los Angeles.”
The actor’s final film roles came in 2022 when he appeared, alongside The Batman, in the critically acclaimed, Golden Globe-winning black comedy-tragedy The Banshees of Inisherin.
