The Handmaid’s Tale actress said: ‘Not bad. I was really happy. It’s going very well.’

Since Elisabeth is private about her personal life, it is unknown who the father of the child is and her due date has yet to be announced.

The actress did ask the chat show host if he had any advice for her about being a new parent, as Jimmy said the best advice his wife got before welcoming one of their children was actually from the comedy legend Bill Murray came.

The chat show host explained: ‘He said bring Christmas lights to hang (in the delivery room).

‘Because the lighting is terrible in the room. It’s Walmart-style lighting for this blessed event that’s going to happen and you don’t want that.’

Elisabeth was receptive to the advice as she replied: ‘I think it’s a really good list, I like it.’

Moss looked comfortable while on set as she sat next to Max Minghella, 38, who is directing the film.

The couple, who have worked together on the television series The Handmaid’s Tale since 2017, chatted away as she kicked her feet during a break from filming in Los Angeles.

She appeared in high spirits as she listened as a make-up artist touched up her foundation with an orange make-up sponge as she reclined in a lounge chair.

For the scene, her shoulder-length blonde dresses were styled in loose waves that flowed straight down her back.

Prior to her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, no announcement had been made by Moss about whether she was expecting a child.

In 2022, Moss said USA Online Post’s YOU that she wants children and that her mother, Linda, inspired her.

‘I definitely want to have children because I’m very inspired by the kind of mother my mother is. She did a beautiful thing with me,’ she gushed.

Moss then joked that, once her own child was born, she would hand it over to her mother.

“And then I give the child to my mother and she can raise it because she will do it very well!”

In a 2018 interview with Marie ClaireMoss said she was hesitant about motherhood at first, but came around to the idea as she got older.

“It’s not for everybody, and I didn’t know if it was going to be for me, but lately I think it is,” she told the publication.

“However, I have no idea how I want to do it or what the plan is.”

Moss is very private when it comes to her love life, as she has only gone public with two relationships in the past.

She was previously married to comedian Fred Armisen, 57, she said Vulture was a ‘traumatic’ and ‘horrible’ experience.

She met the Saturday Night Live star in 2008 while her Mad Men co-star Jon Hamm was hosting the sketch comedy show.

At the time, Moss was 26 and Armisen was 42.

They married in October 2009, but eight months later they broke up.

Moss officially filed for divorce in September 2010, citing irreconcilable differences.

Their divorce was finalized in May 2011.

She said she was relieved she never started a family with Armisen.

‘I’m glad I’m not there. I’m glad it didn’t happen when I was 50. I’m glad I didn’t have kids,” said the LA native.

‘And I got it out of the way. Hopefully. Like, it’s probably not going to happen again.’

In 2012, Moss moved on with Australian cinematographer Adam Arkapaw after meeting on the New Zealand set of the mini-series Top of the Lake.

The relationship was confirmed by DailyMail.com at the time.

Moss and Arkapaw dated for three years before splitting in 2015.

Over the years, Moss has been seen on dates with ‘mystery men’, but she has yet to go public with another serious relationship.

In 2020, she was forced to shoot down a wild rumor about herself and fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise after a tabloid accused them of being secretly engaged.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Moss said it was “hard” to find the time to date due to her hectic work schedule.

She also revealed that she has not written off the possibility of getting married again.

“I have nothing against getting married again, but what I value even more now is the relationship itself,” Moss said.

‘It’s been eight years (since she divorced Armisen). I’m older, and hopefully wiser. I’m a romantic, so I love weddings, but I also don’t think you need (a wedding) to have a long-lasting, healthy relationship.

‘Some of the relationships I know that have lasted the longest are the ones that haven’t (been married).’
