Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has revealed her secret relationship with soap legend Ian Kelsey.
The actress, 47, recently made her first screen appearance as Ruby Fox-Milligan in the ITV1 soap, and has been dating the actor, 57, since 2021. He famously played Dave Glover on the show in the 1990s.
During his time on the show, Dave had an affair with Kim Tate (Claire King) and died after saving her son Jamie in a fire.
Beth now plays the wife of Kim’s nemesis and stepson Caleb Milligan (William Ash).
The actress admitted that she is ‘very happy’ and ‘so in love’ when it comes to her own personal life.

She told The mirror: ‘I am very much in love with Ian and very happy. I think it really works that he’s an actor too. He was so fantastic!’
The actress – who appeared as PC Kerry Young in The Bill and in more recent years had roles in EastEnders and Doctors – explained that Ian was ‘really supportive’ and even encouraged her to take the job.
She said: ‘There’s that thing as an actor where you’re always taken away from home. But he totally gets it.
‘He knows a lot about the crew and cast so it’s great to be able to share what I’ve been up to, knowing he understands.
‘It’s important when you’re away and he’s always keen to find out how filming went every day.
‘We’re both very supportive of each other’s careers, which is important when it’s such a competitive industry’.
The couple had known each other for 20 years before they randomly bumped into each other in 2021.
Before reconnecting, Beth was married to Adam Speers, while Ian has Layla Beau, 18, and Ivy, 13, with ex-wife Mia Terry.

The former Bill actress began shooting scenes for the show towards the end of last year and made her first on-screen appearance earlier this month.

Beth has a wealth of television and theater credits to her name, including Heartbeat, Dead Set and Family Affairs.
After leaving Emmerdale in 1997, Ian went on to star in Casualty, Blue Murder and had a stint in Coronation Street from 2016 to 2017.
She previously said of joining Emmerdale: ‘I’m delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale, it’s a huge privilege and Ruby is a dream role.
“She’s a firecracker and a troublemaker and I think people will either love her or hate her, and I can’t wait to get stuck into this fantastic cast.”
