Cristiano Ronaldo was almost uncontrollable as he shouted at fans chanting Lionel Messi’s name in one of a series of curious antics from the Al-Nassr captain during their Riyadh Season Cup final against Al-Hilal.

The Portuguese superstar led his side to the showpiece event at the Kingdom Arena on Thursday night, hoping to add more silverware to his collection.

But Al-Nassr were unfazed against the side who currently lead the league by seven points, with first-half goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Salem Al Dawsari setting up the tie.

Not one for passivity, Ronaldo could not hide his frustration during and after the match as he was at the center of a series of incidents.

The 39-year-old couldn’t ignore fans in the stadium chanting ‘Messi, Messi, Messi’. Footage on social media appeared to show the former Real Madrid striker reacting with some annoyance.

“I’m here, not Messi,” Ronaldo told the fans on Thursday night.

The Al-Nassr captain’s anger boiled over at another point in the game, when he received a yellow card from referee Tori Penso for smashing the ball into the stands.

Upset at the decision to award a free kick to the opposition, Ronaldo could not resist launching the ball into the crowd.

On a surreal night in the Gulf state, which included an appearance from WWE legend The Undertaker, Ronaldo wasn’t done with his antics.

Footage that appeared on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed the forward walking down the tunnel at the Kingdom Arena, before a fan threw an Al-Hilal shirt at him.

As he approached the tunnel, he picked up the shirt before seemingly rubbing it against his crotch and throwing it back to the crowd in frustration.

Cristiano Ronaldo showed his frustrations after Al-Nassr’s defeat in a bizarre way on Thursday night after a fan threw an Al-Hilal shirt at him.

The only shirts thrown at the star appeared to be those of the rival team, in an attempt to spur on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Ronaldo then continued through the tunnel, followed by his teammates, before the video ended.

Ronaldo was also caught smoking on an unsuspecting member of support staff as he led his team to their runners-up medals

Making his way down the guard of honor obstructed by the official, Ronaldo threw up his hands in frustration and stony-facedly walked off.

Ahead of the match, Ronaldo watched as ‘The Deadman’ made a surprise appearance ahead of the Riyadh Season Cup match.
