Jeremy Kyle, 58, pays tribute to wife Vicky Burton, 40, as he returns to work after ‘running around like a headless chicken’ on paternity leave: ‘I take my hat off!’

The divisive presenter was back on the news desk at Talk TV, where he was on hand to discuss the latest news with co-presenter Rosie Wright.

“I have to salute her mother. I know I said before I left I was going to play golf – I lost five pounds!
‘I was running around like a headless chicken. But there is no way on God’s earth to look after a four-year-old and feed a baby. I take my hat off to my wife.
“It’s like a different sauce than this, isn’t it? It’s like a break. Sleep in the car, right? Come here, someone did my makeup, ironed my shirts, brilliant.
He added: ‘I didn’t go anywhere near a golf club. I did nipple cream and feeding and all kinds of things….
‘That’s great. She’s great too. And Vic did an incredible job.’
There are more than three decades between Jeremy’s newborn and his eldest daughter Harriet, who he had when he was just 24.
Speaking to The Sun in January, the presenter claimed he was ‘too old’ to have a baby and insisted it was ‘nobody else’s business’.
He said: ‘The world has certainly changed since I first became a father. One thing never changes – no sleep, no money, no sex! And you know what they say if you’ve had one, the second one is always easier… so the sixth one will be a piece of cake.’

He joked: ‘And it’s another girl – another wedding to pay for. I’ll work until I’m 80!’
Jeremy went on to reveal that every weekend he is busy running his children to hockey and swimming classes, which ‘keeps him young’.
He added: ‘Of course people say “oh come on you’re 58”, but you’re only as young as the people around you. I have a young wife and I have so many children now, I probably have more than Boris Johnson.’
Jeremy revealed in September last year that he was set to become a father for the sixth time as his wife Victoria was pregnant with their second child.
The broadcaster shared the news that he will be welcoming a daughter in the coming months, after he and Vicky welcomed their son Oliver in 2020.
Talk to The sunJeremy said he and Victoria, who he married in 2021, were ‘over the moon’ to welcome another child in early 2024, adding that his family would be ‘perfect’.
