The Jersey Shore star, 41 – who recently revealed the lengths he went to to hide his $500,000 drug addiction – took to both Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, to upload the video while also bringing awareness to know CPR.

In the clip, the TV personality and his loved ones could be seen sitting at the kitchen table and enjoying a ‘regular dinner’ on Thursday.

Suddenly, after taking a bite of pasta, the two-year-old began to choke on a piece of gnocchi stuck in his throat.

Mike picked up the little one and began patting him on the back, while his wife, Lauren, calmly stepped in to help remove the piece of food from his throat with a device she grabbed from the counter.

Captioning the post, the star wrote to his fans and followers: ‘THE SCARIEST MOMENT OF OUR LIVES‼️’

‘It was a regular dinner at the Situations when Romeo suddenly started choking on his favorite pasta pesto gnocchi without warning!! He was bent over and not breathing,’ Mike recalled.

“I’m so proud of how my wife and I didn’t panic, didn’t hesitate, and finally got the food that was blocking his airway out and saved his life.”

Sorrentino added: ‘I love my family with all my heart and am so grateful that things worked out.’

Finally, he revealed that ‘it’s safe to say we’re taking CPR lessons now and Romeo won’t be having gnocchi anytime soon.’

In the comments section of the Instagram video, Mike explained to his followers that the device his wife grabbed to help remove the paste from his throat was an item called the Dechoker.
