Married At First Sight star celebrates alcohol and cocaine sobriety milestone after revealing she ‘hasn’t touched bags in 14 weeks’
Married At First Sight star Hayley Vernon has celebrated a new sobriety milestone.
The mature actress (37) told her Instagram fans on Sunday that she had gone five weeks without drinking alcohol and 14 weeks without using the illegal drug cocaine.
‘Happy Sunday you beautiful people – I went to Pilates this morning but hit a drinking milestone. “I haven’t touched bags since I was last in Europe, which was 14 weeks ago,” she wrote proudly.
Hayley went on to say how proud she was of herself for resisting temptation, writing: ‘Feeling every bit the woman I know I am.’
‘When I’m not using social, I’m ten times more effective as (a) person, oriented and goal oriented.’

She then shared a poignant question to any followers who may have used drugs over the weekend.
‘If you got into it this weekend, ask yourself “Why?” Was it worth going out and getting p**sed or on the sacks? What have you gained?’ she asked.
It comes months after Hayley gave another update on her sobriety journey.
The adult actress told her Instagram fans on Sunday that she had gone five weeks without drinking alcohol and 14 weeks without using the illegal drug cocaine.
Hayley announced on Instagram in July that she had not taken cocaine or alcohol in 10 weeks.
When contacted for comment, Hayley told USA Online Post Australia that getting sober was the best decision she had ever made.
‘Let’s be honest here, most adults use cocaine recreationally – it’s more common than alcohol these days. What I realize (is) that it doesn’t serve me or what I want from life – it actually steals my happiness,” she said.

‘The best thing I’ve done in my 36 years is give up alcohol – let’s talk about that for a minute. Alcohol, in my opinion, does more harm than anything,” she added.
Hayley has made no secret of her past struggles with alcohol, marijuana and crystal meth while on her MAFS journey.
She started using drugs when she was just 16, but kicked her bad habits before joining MAFS in 2020.
It seems she decided to quit cocaine around the same time she dated her mystery boyfriend in May.
Hayley announced the pair had split in an emotional Instagram post, writing ‘Goodbyes are never easy. I caught up with him last night to get closure and wrap up that chapter.’
“A lot of tears, but it’s something I had to do, I had to say what I feel and this morning I feel lighter for doing it.”
Hayley went on to say that she is grateful for the lessons the relationship has taught her.
“He taught me how to be loved and I will be forever grateful for that, right person wrong time and it’s going to take a while to heal from.”
Hayley explained that she turned to journaling to help cope with the split.
