This is the horrifying moment an Asda security guard was knocked down in a hit-and-run following an altercation between customers in the supermarket’s car park.
The incident was caught on camera outside an Asda in Wallsend, Newcastle, yesterday.
Supermarket staff were apparently trying to break up a verbal disagreement between a group of people, when an Audi driver suddenly crashed into a car before driving straight into a female security guard.
The security guard is seen on the hood of the Audi before she is later taken care of on the ground.
Meanwhile, a few people are seen jumping into the Audi before it drives away.
Police told MailOnline they were called to a verbal dispute between a group of people at around 1.15pm on Thursday. They said: ‘Another person then tried to intervene when, for reasons yet to be determined, they were hit by a car causing a serious leg injury.’

The driver left the scene before police arrived.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
The video was filmed from the window of an adjacent building, and screams are heard from onlookers as the incident unfolds.
In the clip, a customer appears to have left their car in the middle of the road with its door open in the middle of the argument.
Asda staff – two men and a woman – enter among the disgruntled customers.
Just when the fighting seems to be dying down, a gray Audi suddenly comes into frame and rams into the blue car left in the middle of the road.
The force of the impact slammed the driver’s door shut and knocked off his wing mirror.
