Morgan Riddle – girlfriend of US tennis star Taylor Fritz – opens up on ‘scary’ harassment at the Super Bowl as she was ‘grabbed, groped, catcalled incessantly’ by male NFL fans

The girlfriend of US tennis star Taylor Fritz has opened up about her ‘terrifying’ experience at the Super Bowl after being ‘groped’ and ‘harassed’ by male NFL fans.

Morgan Riddle – who has been with world no. 9 Fritz goes out – was in Las Vegas with some friends over the weekend to watch the Kansas City Chiefs pull off a thrilling 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday night.

Despite enjoying both the game and the half-time show – headlined by R&B star Usher – the US influencer revealed she had an ‘extremely stressful’ time at Allegiant Stadium after going through a number of ‘drunk’ male fans were harassed.

Riddle detailed her traumatic ordeal on Instagram after Sunday’s game, admitting she had a panic attack in the toilet in the third quarter after being ‘grabbed and groped’ by other spectators.

“I didn’t want to post about this, but I actually think it’s important to do,” she wrote. ‘I can’t believe the levels of harassment we have had to deal with from men this weekend.

‘In the last 3 days I have been groped, groped (sic), harassed, cat called non stop – basically every few minutes when we were out in public. And it was very bad at the game today.

‘We couldn’t even enjoy the game without being bothered by drunk, rude, rude male fans. It’s extremely stressful and scary.’

Riddle also recalled a father using his son as a ‘vehicle’ in an attempt to beat her and her friends at Allegiant Stadium.

She captioned a video showing her crying in the toilet: ‘There was a dad at the game with his son who looked about 10 years old. He used his child as a vehicle to try to strike at us – and his own son, a child, turned to him and said “dad, what are you doing?” how do you think little boys become unpleasant men?

“I have male sports fans who follow me and thankfully I’ve never experienced anything like this with tennis, but I just hope any guy reading this understands the seriousness of your words and actions. We’re all just there to try and watch a football match’.

‘Being grabbed by grown men is scary and insensitive’.

Riddle returned to her seat in the fourth quarter as Kansas City became the first team to retain the Super Bowl in nearly two decades in Vegas, where they prevailed thanks to Mecole Hardman Jr.

The likes of Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, Jason Kelce and Patrick Mahomes then went to a Vegas nightclub to celebrate the Chiefs’ win.

Riddle, who has been dubbed the ‘first lady of tennis’ thanks to her many glamorous appearances on the court, was also recently forced to defend herself after being accused of ‘overdressing’ at the Australian Open.

“I don’t believe you can be overdressed for anything,” the influencer told Harper’s BAZAAR Australia.

“No matter where you go, overstress is just a social construct and I prefer to ignore it.”

Riddle was born in Poland but grew up in Minnesota before moving to Los Angeles.

She graduated from Wagner College in New York with a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature in 2019 and then worked as a social media director for a fashion brand.
