Scott Parker snubs Aberdeen interest and will not replace Barry Robson at Pittodrie – with the Dons’ high turnover of managers likely to been a key factor in his decision

Scott Parker has turned down an opportunity to discuss the vacant head coaching job at Aberdeen.

The Scottish Premier League side are big admirers of Parker and were keen to discuss the vacancy with the former England international.

Aberdeen sacked Barry Robson last week after just eight months in charge – their third manager in less than two years.

And the high turnover of managers was probably an important caveat to factor into his decision.

Parker has been out of work since leaving Club Brugge last year and is looking for a route back into management.

He has already been linked with a host of Championship jobs.
