Sunrise host Natalie Barr reveals shock behind the scenes beauty secret

Natalie Barr has revealed the secret behind her flawless locks when she’s on air.

The Sunrise host appeared in a video on the show’s official Instagram page on Monday and explained that she is wearing extensions.

“I work in TV, of course I take my hair out at the end of the day,” said the television personality.

Natalie then demonstrated which part of her haircut was fake by slipping a row of clip-ins into brunette extensions from between her locks.

Once the hairpiece was removed, Natalie’s hair appeared finer, but still bouncy and shiny.

It comes after Natalie revealed what clothes her stylists ‘avoid’ dressing her in while presenting the Channel Seven breakfast show, including anything ‘shiny, voluminous, with thin stripes or checks’.

Reveal her fashion secrets The Daily Telegraphthe 55-year-old said: ‘When I wear flowers people say I look like my grandmother’s couch.

‘When I wear a sheer top, people say I look like I’ve just come from a night out. We do try to stick to plain colours, but avoid shiny, chunky, thin stripes and checks.’

Natalie went on to say that her colorful style on the show is worlds away from the ‘black, navy and brown’ outfits she chooses in ‘real life’.

However, the TV star said she enjoys being able to present ‘a different version’ of herself on screen.

Natalie said being able to wear a range of Australian brands from brands such as Camilla and Marc, Zimmerman and Scanlan Theodore was a fun part of her job.

She explained that since replacing Samantha Armytage as the host of the popular show, she has become more open-minded about working with stylists who say, ‘just try it’.
