Sydney Sweeney has revealed that she has teamed up with Ford Mustang to give one lucky fan a brand new car she designed.

On Tuesday morning, the Euphoria star, 26, announced the giveaway to her 16.9 million Instagram followers, along with a video of her sharing a first look at the ‘perfect Mustang’, inspired by her Brittany Blue 1966 Mustang.

‘In my dreams I can imagine the perfect Mustang. And guess what? My dream car can be yours!’ she said in the recording. “After working on my vintage mustang, I know that no detail is too small.”

The self-proclaimed car enthusiast went on to note that after restoring her own vintage mustang, she was careful to choose the perfect ‘custom’ paint and reimagine the vehicle’s interior with some ‘personal touches’.

The clip ended with her teasing that ‘this car is full of surprises.’

While talking about the collaboration with Ford Mustang, Sweeney said Cosmopolitan that she has been ‘dreaming’ about this for a very long time.

‘That’s all I am. It’s a mix between me being Syd, my vintage 1964 Half Mustang that I have, and just putting it in this car,’ she told the store. So the exterior is this Robin’s Egg Blue, which is also my favorite color, but it matches my original Mustang.’

The two-time Emmy nominee continued: ‘And then you have my bolt heart logo, which I’m so excited to see a real tangible version of. We have my name on the engine, which is insane because it’s going to be on someone else’s engine too. And then you have the custom rims, which are actually very close and similar to the original rims on my Britney Mustang.’

Her favorite part is the starry ceiling, which she said she ‘pushed really hard on’.

‘It just made me remember being back home, looking up at the sky, seeing all the starlights and just feeling safe. I wanted a car that also gives you that personal experience,’ she explained.

The actress hopes the winner will ‘go get ice cream’ and have a joy ride’ in the ‘spirit of’ her.

The competition starts on January 30 and runs until February. To enter, participants “defying stereotypes to pursue their passions” can share their personal stories on Ford’s Instagram or TikTok channels.

Speaking about the collaboration with Ford Mustang, Sweeney told Cosmopolitan that she’s been “dreaming about this for a very long time.”

In a statement obtained by DailyMail.com, Ford Mustang Chief Engineer Laurie Transou said: ‘Like me, Sydney is a Mustang girl.’

Each generation has its own distinctive personality, but at their core they embody a spirit of disruption, edge and undeniable allure,’ noted Transou. “Sydney’s interpretation of the Mustang perfectly captures this essence, reflecting the expressive and individualistic nature of those drawn to this iconic vehicle.”

In November, Sweeney worked with Ford on a workwear line inspired by her 1965 Mustang.

“I’ve always loved Mustangs,” Sweeney told WWD at the time. “Blue is my favorite color, so when I saw its color scheme, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.”

The new pieces, produced by Dickies, come adorned with a ‘Syd’s Garage’ logo featuring two bolts bent into a heart.

“I was obsessed with overalls and the corduroy hat,” Sweeney said of her two favorite items from the original drop.

'That's all I am. It's a mix between me being Syd, my vintage 1964 Half Mustang that I have, and just putting it in this car,' she told the store.

Sweeney originally launched Syd’s Garage, her TikTok account, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic when she was working on the restoration work for her 1969 Ford Bronco.

Slowly but surely during those renovations, she began to realize the impact she could have on other women with an interest in cars, or people who just love the style that a car like a Ford Mustang represents.

“I really wanted to empower and support women in space because it’s a very male-dominated industry,” the actress added.

“I’ve always loved Mustangs,” Sweeney told WWD last year. “Blue is my favorite color, so when I saw its color scheme, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.”

Growing up in a family of mechanics and car enthusiasts, Sweeney knows a thing or two about the importance of new items having a mix of style and functionality.

“I love working in the garage and was so excited to work with Ford on a clothing line that is comfortable in and out of the store,” the Hollywood starlet said of the collaboration.

She continued, ‘I was so excited that Ford wanted to use car enthusiasts to model the clothes and create content that teaches people how to do basic maintenance tasks on their vehicles. Being able to take my car into my own hands was so empowering for me – and I hope it can inspire others who may never have thought of working on their vehicle themselves to give it a try.’

Sweeney is best known for playing the role of good girl gone bad, Cassie Howard, in the hit HBO series Euphoria, in which she stars alongside Zendaya and Alexa Demie.
