Taylor Swift ‘might rethink the tight end she chose if she sees George Kittle’, says David Carr in bizarre joke about pop star swapping Travis Kelce for Super Bowl rival

Former Texans quarterback David Carr left an NFL panel shocked with a bizarre joke about Taylor Swift ‘rethinking the tight end she chose’ before this weekend’s Super Bowl.

Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is gearing up for his second Super Bowl appearance in as many years in Las Vegas, where his team clashes with the San Francisco 49ers.

While Kelce already boasts a legacy as one of the best tight ends of all time, the opposite number Kittle has enjoyed a stellar season so far, with 1,128 receiving yards and 71 receptions while scoring seven touchdowns.

And when asked who he believes will steal the show at Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, Carr picked Kittle before making his joke about Swift.

“I’m glad Taylor Swift is out of the country,” he said. “Because if she sees George Kittle, she might reconsider the tight end she chose.”

Carr’s quip was poorly received by the panel on NFL Total Access, who gasped loudly before pointing out that Kittle is already married.

“He’s married to his college sweetheart,” host Kimmi Chex said. “Come now!”

The former NFL star quickly realized his mistake and conceded: ‘My bath, my bath.’

Kittle has been married to his wife Claire since 2019, whom he met as a freshman at Iowa University, after getting engaged the year before.

Kelce, meanwhile, is still in the early stages of his relationship with Swift after recording a very high-profile romance last summer.

Swift is currently over in Japan on the latest leg of her Eras Tour, but is expected to make the 5,000-mile trip around the world to watch her husband compete in the Super Bowl this weekend.

The singer-songwriter wraps up her final Tokyo show on February 10 and faces a frantic rush to return to the US for the February 11 game.

But, as well as the lack of time, she may also have a problem finding somewhere to leave her plane for the weekend in Las Vegas.

DailyMail.com reported last week that Sin City was completely sold out of private jet parking spaces for Super Bowl weekend, leaving many of the rich and famous scrambling to find alternatives.

Michael Giordano, a partner at Cirrus Aviation Services in Las Vegas, told The New York Post that the NFL will offer Swift a space to land, although parking spots are increasingly hard to come by.

“Taylor Swift will definitely have a place throughout the NFL to land, but not necessarily a place to park,” Giordano said.

However, Kelce declined to say definitively whether or not Swift was definitely granted one.

Asked Monday night, Kelce replied, ‘I’ll have to ask.’
