Three WWE NXT stars ‘are set to appear on SmackDown this Friday’ ahead of Vengeance Day… with one man dubbed for permanent main roster call-up after impressive showing at Royal Rumble
- Three men involved in a key match at Vengeance Day will appear
- Two of the stars appeared in the Royal Rumble last week and impressed
- The look will likely be used to build up to Saturday night’s game
Three NXT stars will appear on WWE SmackDown this Friday, according to a report.
The latest version of NXT has thrived since its branding in September 2021, bringing in a number of young, up-and-coming talents rather than essentially being a third main brand.
The likes of Grayson Waller, Austin Theory and Ivy Nile have made the jump to the main roster after progressing through the development system, and the company hopes more will follow as it continues to grow.
Meanwhile, it looks like three of the biggest stars in NXT will be making the move sooner rather than later, with two of them having starred in the Royal Rumble and enjoying headlining experience before.
According to PWInsiderformer NXT champions Bron Breaker and Carmelo Hayes will be on SmackDown this Friday, as will Hayes’ partner Trick Williams.
Bron Breakker will appear on SmackDown this Friday night after impressing in the Royal Rumble
Reports have suggested that the star will soon have a permanent spot on the main roster
Breakker starred in the men’s Rumble match over the weekend, earning four eliminations before being eliminated himself by Dominik Mysterio.
After the event, he said he wasn’t ‘done’ with Mysterio’s faction The Judgment Day, with reports suggesting he will soon earn a permanent spot on the main roster.
However, NXT boss Shawn Michaels has since said he hopes Breakker will stay in developmental, casting doubt on the call.
Breakker, along with tag team partner Baron Corbin, will face Hayes and Williams in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at this weekend’s Vengeance Day, with Hayes expected to turn on Williams once and for all.
Carmelo Hayes is another man who will appear on the SmackDown show this Friday
Trick Williams, Hayes’ partner, is reported to be on the show with Hayes and Breakker
The pair have been partners for a number of years but teasing is in place about a split and many expect it to happen this weekend.
It’s likely that Friday’s show will be used to build anticipation for the opportunity to get more eyes on WWE’s developmental product for one of their more big shows.
Breakker has history on the main roster during his feud with Dolph Ziggler in 2022, while Hayes has also made sporadic appearances, most recently during a brief feud with Austin Theory.
