Westfield Tuggerah stabbing: Woman is knifed in the arm and back at shopping centre

A woman who was stabbed in front of horrified shoppers at a country shopping center has been rushed to hospital.

The 21-year-old woman walked into Wyong Police Station, on the New South Wales Central Coast, at around 10am on Sunday with multiple wounds to her arm and back.

She was taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital by the Toll Rescue helicopter in a stable condition. Her injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Police have established a crime scene at the Westfield in Tuggerah Lakes, about 10km south of the police station, which will undergo a forensic investigation.
